Nagaland reports 61 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths

Dimapur, Aug. 14 (EMN): As many as 61 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 29,097.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 61 new positive cases detected on Saturday, Dimapur reported 34 infections, 11 each in Mokokchung and Kohima, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire, Wokha and Zunheboto.
The state’s death toll increased to 583 with three more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, while the state’s recoveries rose to 26,388 with 124 Covid-19 patients having recovered.
On Saturday, 36 patients recovered in Tuensang, 30 in Mokokchung, 29 in Kohima, 10 in Dimapur, seven in Longleng, six in Phek, four in Peren, and two in Wokha
Nagaland currently has 1,278 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1009 are asymptomatic, 215 mild, 23 moderate on oxygen, 15 severe on oxygen, nine in ICU without ventilator and seven in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 466 patients, 295 in Kohima, 219 in Mokokchung, 76 in Peren, 70 in Zunheboto, 40 in Wokha, 38 in Tuensang, 29 in Longleng, 23 in Mon, 16 in Kiphire, and six in Phek.
