Nagaland records 102 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths; tally rises to 28811

Dimapur, Aug. 10 (EMN): Nagaland reported 102 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, pushing the state’s active caseload to 1,374 and tally to 28,811.
The state’s death toll remained the same at 571 with no new fatalities reported in the last 24 hours and total recoveries rose to 26,023 as 117 patients had recuperated.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 102 new positive cases detected on Tuesday, 40 were in Kohima, 27 in Dimapur, 15 in Mokokchung, six in Tuensang, five in Wokha, four in Longleng, three in Zunheboto, and one each in Peren and Phek.
Among the patients who recovered in the last 24 hours, 57 were in Dimapur, 35 in Kohima, 11 in Mokokchung, nine in Phek, three in Tuensang, and two in Mon.
Nagaland currently has 1,374 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1106 are asymptomatic, 211 mild, 23 moderate on oxygen, 18 severe on oxygen, six in ICU without ventilator and 10 in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 426 patients, 381 in Kohima, 224 in Mokokchung, 88 in Peren, 70 in Tuensang, 61 in Zunheboto, 37 in Longleng, 31 in Wokha, 25 in Mon, 19 in Kiphire, and 12 in Phek
28204 new cases in India
India reported 28,204 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the total tally to 3,19,98,158 (3.19 crore), according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said that the death toll climbed to 4,28,682 with 373 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, the active cases fell to 3,88,508 (3.88 lakh) with 41,511 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
Weekly positivity currently stands at 2.36% and daily positivity rate at 1.87%, according to the update from the ministry.
As many as 51.45 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under nationwide vaccination drive.
