Nagaland records 118 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths; tally rises to 28335

Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally increased to 28,335 as 118 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Thursday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 118 new positive cases detected on Thursday, Dimapur reported 36 infections, 27 in Kohima, 20 in Zunheboto, 13 in Mokokchung, five in Tuensang, four each in Peren, Phek and Wokha, two each in Kiphire and Longleng and one in Mon.
The state also reported two deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 567, while the state’s recoveries rose to 25,603 with 87 Covid-19 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours
On Thursday, 41 patients recovered from Kohima, 19 in Dimapur, 10 in Tuensang, six in Mon, five in Mokokchung, three in Peren, two in Phek, and one in Wokha.
Nagaland currently has 1,345 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1079 are asymptomatic, 214 mild, 26 moderate on oxygen, 14 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator and five in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 457 patients, 443 in Dimapur, 210 in Mokokchung, 51 in Tuensang, 34 in Zunheboto, 31 in Peren, 28 in Longleng, 26 in Mon, 23 in Phek, 22 in Wokha, and 20 in Kiphire.
