Nagaland records 114 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): As many as 114 new Covid-19 cases were detected in Nagaland on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 27,586, while the death toll increased to 538 following two more casualties.
The number of recoveries in the state also rose to 24,910 as 75 more patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
According to an update by the department of Health and Family Welfare, 37 fresh cases were detected in Kohima, 30 in Dimapur, 25 in Mokokchung, nine in Tuensang, eight in Mon, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire, Phek, and Zunheboto.
Out of the 75 recoveries, 29 were from Kohima, 14 in Dimapur, 11 in Wokha, seven in Tuensang, six in Kiphire, four in Longleng, two in Mokokchung, and one each in Mon and Phek.
The state currently has 1250 active Covid cases, out of which 1081 are asymptomatic, 205 mild, 35 moderate on oxygen, 18 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator, and four in ICU on ventilator.
43645 new cases in India
Meanwhile, India recorded 43,654 fresh Covid cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 3,14,84,605 (3.14 crore) while death toll rose to 4,22,022 (4.22 lakh) following 640 more fatalities, according to Union Health ministry data.
The total number of active caseload is 3,99,436 (3.99 lakh), while recoveries increased to 3,06,63,147 (3.06 crore) as 41,678 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.
