Nagaland records 228 new Covid-19 cases, 11 deaths; tally breaches 21000-mark

Dimapur, May 27 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 228 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s active caseload to 4941 and tally to 21023.

The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 228 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 98 were in Dimapur, 54 in Kohima, 25 in Mokokchung, 20 in Tuensang, 15 in Phek, six in Zunheboto, four in Wokha, two each in Longleng and Mon and one each in Kiphire and  Peren.

He added that as many as 195 positive patients — 106 in Dimapur, 47 in Kohima, 17 in Mokokchung, nine in Zunheboto, five in Tuensang, three each in Wokha, Peren and Kiphire and two in Longleng — recovered during the same period.

The state also registered 11 deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 326 and 15124 patients have recovered so far.
