Nagaland records 191 new Covid-19 cases, 11 deaths; tally rises to 20259

Nagaland recorded 191 new Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the state’s tally to 20,259.

The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 191 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 67 were in Kohima, 53 in Dimapur, 28 in Tuensang, 25 in Mokokchung, six in Wokha, four each in Zunheboto and Mon, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire and Phek.

He added that 11 people died in the last 24 hours, while 137 patients – 53 in Dimapur, 38 in Kohima, 13 in Tuensang, 10 in Mon, nine in Kiphire, eight in Zunheboto, four in Mokokchung and two in Peren — recovered during the same period.

According to the Health and Family Welfare department update, the state currently has 4714 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 4350 are asymptomatic, 179 mild, 67 moderate on oxygen, 84 severe on oxygen, 24 in ICU without ventilator and 10 in ICU on ventilator.

The state has also registered 14637 recoveries and 285 deaths after 11 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 2,540 active cases, 1,512 in Kohima, 155 in Mokokchung, 104 in Tuensang, 94 in Mon, 88 in Zunheboto, 79 in Phek, 50 in Longleng, 41 in Wokha, 32 in  Kiphire, and 19 in Peren.
