Dimapur, May 9 (EMN): The bible reading marathon initiated by the Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakülu (WSBAK) under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Phughoto Sema, WSBAK executive secretary, concluded on May 8.
An update from WSBAK stated that the bible reading marathon was organised with an aim and objective to proclaim the word of God within Dimapur district and encourage every Christian believers to read the bible. The bible reading marathon was flagged off on May 3 at Nagaland Coffee Shop, near Clock Tower, Dimapur, and concluded on May 8 at WSBAK centre church Aküvüto in Thahekhu village, Dimapur.
It stated that around 500 participants from 170 churches under WSBAK took part in the bible reading marathon beginning from the book of Genesis to Revelation marking it a historic achievement for WSBAK to read the entire bible within six days. The bible reading marathon was divided into area-wise and conducted from 5 am to 8 pm following the SOP guidelines.
It stated that Dimapur area took part on May 3 at Nagaland Coffee Shop Dimapur, while Aghünaqa area on May 4 at Tohoi Baptist Akukuhou, Kuhuboto are on May 5 at Kuhuboto Town Baptist Church, Sakipheto area and Aqahuto area on May 6 at Kukidolong Sümi Baptist Church and Kiyeto Village Baptist Church respectively, Ato area and Khaghaboto area on May 7 at Nihokhu Baptist Akukuhou and Khaghaboto Town Baptist Church respectively, and Niuland area on May 8 at Sümi Baptist Akukuhou, Niuland town, and WSBAK centre church Akuvuto, Thahekhu.
Report added that the bible reading marathon has not only encouraged and inspired many Christian believers but also motivated on the importance of reading bible in everyday life.
