Dimapur, April 6 (EMN): Fostering Climate Resilient Upland Farming System in Northeast-Nagaland (Focus Nagaland), distributed kharif seeds to the project villages under Longleng district at the district agriculture officer (DAO) office, Longleng on March 29.
Focus Nagaland is an externally aided project funded by IFAD.
A DIPR update stated that DAO and DPM of Focus-IFAD, S Yongchang Phom, appreciated the farmers for the good outcome and also encouraged them to work sincerely and implement the activities with full seriousness to ensure that the farmers get full benefits from the project.
He also stated that despite the pandemic, Focus was able to provide seeds during the kharif season in April 2020.
It said that package of practice on the kharif seeds were given to the lead farmers, who received the allotted quantity on behalf of the villages.They were also informed to ensure that the allotted quantity reach all the interested beneficiaries from the FIGs.
