Dimapur, Dec. 17 (EMN): The Pfutseromi Baptist Church celebrated its 75th anniversary (1945 – 2020) on December 16 on the theme “Christ the liberator” at Pfutseromi village with Rev. Dr. VK Nuh, Emeritus executive secretary of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC), as the minister for unveiling the 75th-anniversary monolith and Rev. Khrotso Mero, CBCC executive secretary, as the speaker.
An update from the church stated that the speaker has emphasised on the liberating Christ in his message. He insisted that Christians must imitate Christ and live by his precepts of love and forgiveness adding “one must act now because Christ has done so much for us.”
The programme was led by Rev. Dr. Coppe Mero, while the welcome address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Wepre Mero.
The message in song was presented by Kami Baptist Church, Pfutsero Town Baptist Church and Pfutseromi Baptist Church CYE Choir.
The 75th-anniversary souvenir was released by Rev. Dr. Kenny Kapfo and the programme ended with a benediction said by CBCC president Rev. Kevengoi Sakha.
