YouTube, Gmail and other Google services back online after worldwide crash
Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Google’s services including Youtube and Gmail are back online after a worldwide crash that affected millions of users across the globe.
Google’s services abruptly went down worldwide for almost an hour on Monday evening causing huge uproar on Twitter. YouTube, Gmail, Google Drive and Google Search were some of the services that went down at around 5 PM IST on Monday.
Google has since issued a statement that confirms the issue has been resolved. The message from Google on its service status page read, “The problem with Gmail should be resolved for the vast majority of affected users. We will continue to work towards restoring service for the remaining affected users, but no further updates will be provided on the Google Workspace Status Dashboard. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.”
Team YouTube also wrote on its official Twitter page, “Update — We’re back up and running! You should be able to access YouTube again and enjoy videos as normal.”
