TaFMA signs MoU with MusiConnect Asia

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Monday announced the institutional partnership between MusiConnect Asia and Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland.

Rio said in a Twitter update that the partnership would promote and propel musicians from Nagaland to greater heights and bigger music arenas.

MusiConnect is an Asia Network meeting, which aims at connecting music professionals from the Asian countries to create a strong networking system. It is also a forum to promote musicians and music of Asia.

A memorandum of understanding issued by TaFMA and MusiConnect Asia stated that they are organisational partners and will jointly work towards promotion of artistes related to music from the region of Nagaland at international platforms.

It also stated that MusiConnect Asia and TaFMA would pursue joint collaborations to organise music summits, music expos and other music-related events that will help in growing and adding value to the existing music and arts ecosystem of the state of Nagaland. It further stated that they would jointly engage in bundling and promotional activities at international events for creating a sustainable model for the local artists of the state of Nagaland.

MusiConnect Asia has 51 countries and several world class festivals under its umbrella. This partnership will help to disseminate the rich cultural heritage of North East of India within Asia and beyond, it stated.
