Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): The deputy commissioner and chairman of DDMA, Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan, has ordered temporary sealing of postal quarters at East Police Colony, Dimapur, with immediate effect till further notice.
He informed that the step was taken in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 30 (1) (2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, in order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
He cautioned that any person violating the containment measures would be liable for prosecution as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under Section-188 of the IPC.
