Dimapur, Nov. 17 (EMN): PUBG Mobile India is right around the corner and these are exciting times for Indian PUBG mobile fans. PUBG Mobile was the biggest mobile game in India before the Indian government banned the app along with 117 other mobile apps citing data security issues. Since the ban, however, PUBG Corporation has taken major steps to make an epic comeback on the Indian mobile gaming scene.

The company has since severed ties with Tencent, a Chinese multinational technology conglomerate holding company, who had previously owned the distribution rights for PUBG Mobile in India. In another significant development, the game’s parent company Krafton Inc. has recently signed a deal with Microsoft to make use of its Azure cloud services for storing and transferring player data.

In an official statement, PUBG Mobile has announced that the game will be making a comeback in India and it will be a different game from its global version. The new game will be called PUBG Mobile India and it will be an India exclusive game tailor-made for Indian PUBG players. In a bid to make the new game compliant with Indian government’s policies, the new game will feature significant changes to its contents.

Here are the major changes coming to PUBG Mobile India

Blood effects

The blood effects for the global version can be toggled for various colour effects. However, the blood effects for the Indian version will be toned down and it seems Indian players will have only the green colour effect for blood.

Character clothing

The Indian version will have its characters fully clothed by default unlike the global version where characters can be played with only their undergarments on. Whether this can be toggled from the menu settings is still unclear.

Playtime limit function

The company has announced that the Indian version will implement a playtime limit function to promote healthy gameplay habits among its younger player base.

Account transfer

An Instagram user by the name ‘liquipediamemphiz’ has posted a video on his Instagram page where he has claimed that players may be able to migrate their data from their old account on the global version to the Indian version once it re-releases in the country.

On the Instagram post Memphis wrote, “Users will likely be able to have their Skins and In-App purchases from Global Version on their Indian Version.”

If the video post is to be believed, this is huge news for Indian PUBG Mobile players as this feature will enable them to get back their old accounts along with their in-app purchases, in-game stats and other data without having to start again from scratch.
