Nagaland organises unity run to promote Fit India Movement
Dimapur, Nov 2 (EMN): To honour the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Nagaland, along with the rest of India, organised a virtual unity run, 5 km marathon to promote Fit India Movement on Saturday.
The event was organised by NEB sports and Nagaland’s brand ambassador Orentsani Kikon, a professional fitness coach practicing for the past 12 years, an update received here informed.
Altogether 33 participants including a seven-year-old and 71-year-old participated in the unity run.
The event was also part of the Fit India Movement, a nationwide campaign in India to encourage people to remain healthy and fit by including physical activities and sports in their daily lives.
The programme was inaugurated by Extra Additional Commissioner of Dimapur Tsidi Hairang and Imcha Jamir invoked God’s blessing.
The organisers thanked the Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Soundararajan and Dimapur police and traffic for supporting the programme.
