Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): The North East Artist Network (Nean), a non-profit organisation, has launched ‘Nean NLTP initiative’ (NNI) programme, wherein drop-in-centre for alcoholics is one of the most important components.

An update from Nean stated that they have been able to set up one drop-in-centre at Supermarket in Dimapur near the Town Hall. It is the first drop-in-centre for alcoholics in Nagaland, it stated, adding they were not able to move forward with the programme due to the prevailing circumstances.

Besides, understanding the role that social media plays in reaching out to people across the world, Nean has launched a YouTube channel on October 16 at 2 pm. According to the organisation, the channel will focus on alcohol awareness and the positive side of the NLTP Act implementation. It will also bring stories and testimonies of the alcoholic community along with musical presentations, skits, drama etc.

During the launching of the programme, Nean in-house band also released a debut single titled ‘Let me tell you’. The song encourages setting up of goals in lives because a dream without a goal always remains a dream.
