Naga Manu Production: Online dance competition results announced

Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): The results of an online dance competition organised by a YouTube channel called Naga Manu Production was declared on September 30.
After two rounds of selection process, 13-year-old Pranchi Sinha emerged as the winner and received a cash prize of INR 5000.
The organiser updated that top 5 dancers were selected by 10 judges during the first round, after which they performed one minute video (unedited) as their final submission to decide the winner of the competition and the judging criteria was based choreography, expression, creativity, execution, and musicality.
The ANGHs (J Ahng, Seiwang Funkfreak, Ahng David) from Mon district were declared as the runners-up and won a cash prize of INR 3000. Ratolu received the highest view on YouTube crossing 40k views and received INR 1000, and the viewer choice award was given to Chuba Chang who received a cash prize of INR 1000. The awards of the competition is said to have been sponsored by an electronic shop Mike Care, a complete computer solution based in Kohima.
While 14-year-old Nomrita Mech from Dimapur district was adjusted the upcoming rising star award with a cash of INR 1000 sponsored by Nuthipru Nienu. The winners were also awarded e-certificates. The top 5 dancers includes Ratolu, Mixed X crew (Grace and Wewe) and Chuba Chang.
The organiser informed that a total of 75 participants including solo, duo and group took part, and also dancers from Bangalore, West Bengal, Manipur and Meghalaya took part in the competition.
The youngest participant was a six-year-old Asheang Ngoung from Mon district.
The organiser stated the event was to provide platform for passionate dancers in Nagaland with an aim to encourage youngsters to keep themselves engaged during the Covid-19 pandemic breakout and also to showcase their talent to a larger audience.
The judges for the final round includes Rahul Kataria, PDSP student from big dance and member the ACE crew, Lamgrace Touthang, freelance dancer and dance instructor, co-founder of Kohima Mega Dance Fiesta and Nagaland Dance Community. Abung Ningthoujam and Wattaba Mangang, martial artist, street-dancer mainly B-boying, Popping&Locking and a member of Kanglei Trickers. Thokchom Tolen Meitei, a young versatile Manipuri dance artiste who did his master degree in Dance from dept of Dance and Music Manipur University with Shreemati Usha Devi Gold medal. And Temjenmoa Jamir, dance instructor Chümoukedima, trained at first step dance academy Kolkata, worked at Petros Dance Studio Kohima and member of Elemenz crew.
