Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): The deputy commissioner (DC) of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, has informed that hotels and lodges which were earlier notified by the DC’s office as paid quarantine centres for Kohima district and trained by the medical team and experts on Covid-19 infection, will continue to accommodate returnees and travellers from outside the state.
The hotels are: Hotel Vivor, Hotel De-oriental, Hotel Lavisto, Hotel Holiday Oki, Hotel Grandeur, Hotel Millennium, Hotel Ariel, and Hotel Cimorb.
The DC also informed that Hotel Eastgate, Hotel 2K, Hotel Pine, Hotel Eden and Hotel Japfu will continue as paid quarantine centres for isolate and quarantine healthcare workers and other frontline workers of Covid-19.
As per the revised standard operating procedure (SOP) for returnees and travellers entering Nagaland, all other remaining hotels and lodges under Kohima district, which are not trained by the medical experts on Covid-19 and not notified officially by the DC’s office, have been directed to provide services to the domestic travellers and customers only as decided by Kohima district task force during its meeting on September 9. However, all health advisory, SOP and guidelines of the government need to be strictly followed while providing services to the domestic customers/travellers.
The DC further informed that failure to comply with the guidelines will be penalised under Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897 and relevant sections of IPC.
Several locations demarcated as sealed areas in Kohima
The additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has informed that Daklane colony, ATI, Hotel De Oriental Grande, Upper PWD, Officer’s Hill, Upper AG, Lower AG, and Potterlane colony have been demarcated as sealed areas, in view of the detection of a Covid-19 positive persons.
All movement of persons and vehicles within the sealed areas have been strictly restricted and under active surveillance with effect from the date of sealing, to contain the spread of the disease or infection and for necessary contact tracing.
The demarcated areas are: House No-42 (A) at Daklane, Room No.112 at ATI Kimho, Room No. 201, at Hotel De Oriental Grande, House No. 27 at Upper PWD, House No. 134 at Officer’s Hill, House No. B12 at Upper AG, Postal inspection bungalow at Head Post Office, TTC 14 at Lower AG, and House No. 66 at Potterlane colony.
