Dimapur, Aug. 24 (EMN): The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Phek conducted water quality monitoring and surveillance training for grassroots-level workers on August 20 and the 21st, at the office of the executive engineer PHED, Phek.
The training programme was sponsored by Sanitation and WSSO, PHED, an update from the department informed.
Phek Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission Chemist Kethonu Theyo spoke on water quality standards and importance of drinking safe water.
Trainees were taught on use of field testing kit and procedure to test water quality.
