Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): Seventy five more Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Nagaland on Tuesday, taking the tally of the state to 1459.
This was informed by minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Tuesday afternoon.
“75 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 450 test results received.
51 in Kohima, 10 in Phek, 7 in Wokha, 3 each in Mon & Dimapur & 1 in Tuensang,” the minister tweeted.
Till date, health authorities have declared 569 patients ‘recovered,’ while there are 885 ‘active’ cases.
As of July 28, the state reported five deaths. However, investigation is on, and subject to further verification to establish the link with Covid-19 as comorbid conditions were present, the health minister tweeted on Saturday.
Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.
The state breached the 1000-mark positive cases on July 20 as 33 more Covid-19 positive cases were reported, taking the tally to 1021 on July 20.
As of July 28, Dimapur has the highest cases among the districts with 375 active cases, followed by Kohima with 285 active cases; Mon has 135 cases; Peren has 45 cases; Mokokchung, Zunheboto and Tuensang has eight cases respectively; Phek has 14 cases while Wokha has seven active cases and Longleng has one case.
