Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) in collaboration with the Salesians of Don Bosco Province distributed relief items to the various quarantine centres and Covid-19 hospitals in Nagaland.

The NMA has handed over 500 kg rice, dal, eggs, sugar, milk, and tea leaf to its unit of Zeliangrong Mepui Organisation and the Peren district administration for the quarantine centres in Peren, an update from the association informed on Monday.

The association went on to say that relief items were also sent to Tuensang through Tuensang District Mothers’ Association to help the returnees. 400 kg rice, dal, eggs, sugar, milk, and tea leaf were handed over to the district task force through the EAC, K Rose, for the quarantine centre at Tuensang.

‘Food items were also sent to the Covid hospitals at Chedema and Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (now Covid-19 hospital) for the doctors, nurses and patients,’ the update said.

The NMA also conveyed its ‘gratitude to the Salesians of Don Bosco Province and Fr. Dr. Peter Salew for their generosity and trust in the NMA to carry out the relief work’.
