Man arrested for alleged sexual abuse of minors

Dimapur, July 3 (EMN): One person has been arrested in a case related to sexual abuse of minors in Mokokchung district, according to police.

The superintendent of police, Mokokchung, Vishal Chaudhan, informed this newspaper that the accused was arrested on July 1 on charges of sexual abuse against two minors.

The arrested person has been sent to judicial custody.

The police officer informed that a case was registered as soon as the complaint was filed at the police station and the crime would come under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act).

All medical protocols concerning the victims were completed, he said.

The official informed that the police are investigating the case and they would do their best to deliver justice.
