Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally at 459; eight fresh cases

Dimapur, June 30 (EMN):
Eight more cases of Covid-19 positive were reported as returnees tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, taking the tally of the state to 459.

This was updated through Nagaland’s official Covid-19 dashboard on Tuesday morning.

Till date, Health authorities in Nagaland have declared 168 patients as ‘recovered’ and there were 291 active cases in the state and no death till date.

According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, all the 291 active cases were asymptomatic.

“Till date, a total of 12,161 samples have been tested. Results of 11,408 samples have been received. Out of the 12,161 samples, 7, 883 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima and a total of 7,790 samples have been tested, out of which 368 samples have tested positive.

“A total of 5299 samples have also been tested by TrueNat, out of which 89 samples tested positive and sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 5,114 persons are presently under facility quarantine,” he said.
