Longleng: Shops to remain closed, vehicles from Assam restricted
Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Longleng, M Shayung Phom, has issued an order, restricting the movement of vehicles and operation of business establishments in the interest of public health and safety as well as to contain and control the spread of noval coronavirus in the district.
Here are regulatory measures and restrictions to be followed with immediate effect:
- All truck and other heavy motor vehicles, which are loaded and are en-route Longleng, bringing essential commodities and other materials, will be permitted to enter the district till midnight of June 29, 2020. No vehicles bringing essential commodities from Assam will be permitted to enter the district after the aforementioned time period till July 6, 2020 or until further order.
- All shops and business establishments which received commodities from June 23, 2020 till the date of issue of this order shall remain closed until further orders.
80 inmates discharged
A total of 80 inmates, including drivers were discharged from Rusa quarantine centre Yingli and Yingli quarantine centre Longleng for home quarantine on June 29 after completion of 21-day institutional quarantine.
An update from DIPR informed that the discharged inmates, who were mostly from Bengaluru, were tested negative for Covid-19.
“All necessary instructions and advice were given by the doctors before they were released,” the update read.
