Dimapur, May 19 (EMN): Out of the 978 suspected Covid-19 samples sent for testing from Nagaland till date, 948 have returned negative; the remaining 30 await confirmation.
According to Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, there are currently 922 persons under facility quarantine and 744 persons under home quarantine in the state.
He informed that the special train from Chennai in Tamil Nadu, expected to arrive in Dimapur on May 22, will be ferrying 1467 persons.
“As regard the one-time financial assistance in the form of cash grant to persons from Nagaland stranded outside the state, and who have voluntarily opted to stay back in their respective places, till now, 1071 persons have been paid INR 10,000 each, amounting to INR 1.07 crore in total,” Sinha said.
He added that 1002 persons are currently being monitored through the nCOVID-19 Nagaland- Visitors App.
