Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): A total of 889 suspected Covid-19 samples have been sent from Nagaland for testing till Wednesday evening, according to an official update.
Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that 872 samples have been tested negative for the virus, while the results of the remaining 17 are awaited. In addition, a total of 11 samples have been tested by Truenat and all are negative, the update added.
Sinha also reminded the stranded citizens of Nagaland about the relief announced by the state government on Tuesday.
“I would like to inform that it has been decided by the state government that any stranded person of Nagaland outside the state who has already registered in the returnees declaration form before 12 noon on 11th May 2020, and presently staying outside the North Eastern States (Nagaland citizens stranded in Sikkim will be allowed to apply), and who voluntarily opts to stay back where he/ she is at present, will be given a one- time assistance of INR 10,000,” he updated.
He added that ‘anyone who wants to stay back and avail this one-time assistance may go to the iamstranded.nagaland.gov.in portal and fill up the one time assistance form by providing the requisite details’.
