882 samples sent; 10 results awaited

Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): The total suspected Covid-19 samples sent from Nagaland reached 882 on Tuesday, according to an official update.

Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha informed that results for 10 samples are awaited while the remaining 872 have returned negative.

“Today, a total of 6532 persons have been screened and a total of 86 persons are under facility quarantine. Regarding the financial assistance in the form of cash grant to persons from Nagaland stranded, or in distress outside the state, due to the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, a total of 19,464 applicants comprising of 14,357 working people, 4933 students and 175 patients have been provided assistance till now by transferring the amounts to their bank accounts. Till date, a total of INR 7.57 crore has been disbursed for this purpose,” he informed.

Sinha reminded that for those people returning to Nagaland, it is mandatory to register themselves in nCOVID-19 Nagaland—Visitors App which is available for android users. “As for iOS users or any user having a problem, they can contact the toll free helpline No-1800-345-0019 for technical support.”
