INR 19k lakh for BDO blocks last financial year

Dimapur, Aug. 9: Minister for Rural Development Metsubo Jamir disclosed that the Centre allocated INR 19322.98 lakh to BDO blocks during the year 2018-19; and INR 24275.77 lakh for the year 2019-2020 to the state government.

He was responding to a starred question raised by the NPF MLA Yitachu during the just concluded NLA session, .

According to official document, the first instalment under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) for financial year 2019-20 was INR 242,75,77,000.

The amount sanctioned for first instalment of MGNREGA for the financial year was INR 56,64,48,000; INR 82,22,00,000 in second instalment; INR 54,36,50,000 in third instalment.

According to the minister, the mandays generation for the year 2018-19 and 2019-20 was INR 20,79,981 for Dimapur; INR 13,40,306 for Kohima; INR 11,74,111 for Mokokchung; INR 8,88,378 for Kiphire; INR 6,73,586 for Longleng; INR 12,09,129 for Longleng; INR 11,31,461 for Phek; INR 13,27,646 for Peren; INR 11,11,565 for Wokha; INR 12,74,864 for Tuensang; and INR 10,81,222 for Zunheboto.

The total mandays allotted to each block during 2019-20 were: in Mokokchung’s nine block the approved person days was INR 10,43,090; eight blocks in Mon was INR 11,67,445; eight blocks in Zunheboto was INR 10,33,844; nine blocks in Tuensang was INR 14,17,559; and eight blocks in Phek was INR 9,99,288. The six blocks in Dimapur was INR 21,45,084; seven blocks in Kohima was INR 15,77,816; three blocks in Longleng was INR 6,27,159; five blocks in Kiphire was INR 6,89,922; seven blocks in Wokha was INR 10,58,012; and four blocks in Peren was INR 7,90,781.
