Dimapur, May 31 (EMN): ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema helped mithun farming community of Machi village and mithun herdsman of Khoibu village under Tengnoupal district of Manipur by giving away the institute’s Tribal Sub-Pan (TSP) materials on May 30.
The distribution programme was organised by Dr. Sapunii S Hanah, scientist ICAR-NRC on Mithun, along with the staff of Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal, Apunba Imagi Machasing Manipur (AIM) and former Minister Morung Mukunga.
Materials that were distributed to the farmers for the development of mithun husbandry include barbed wire (fencing), aluminium sheet (housing/shelter), rain coat, gumboot and travis.
ICAR-NRC, Medziphema also conducted Mithun mela-cum-technology awareness programme in collaboration with Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal, Apunba Imagi Machasing Manipur (AIM) and village authority of Bungtung See Kung of Machi village on February 4 this year.
