Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): The 44th annual sports week of Sao Chang College, Tuensang got underway at the Loyem memorial ground, in Tuensang with Nungsanglemba, President, Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) as the chief guest in the inaugural programme.
The chief guest in his address said that modern societies have become so advanced in every aspect of life where knowledge and understanding of people has grown so much. He said that in such competitive society, students must raise inferiority attitude from their mindset and toil hard to compete with others to become successful individuals. He said education will be incomplete without co-curricular activities in any institution; therefore, sports week is very important for students’ where they get opportunities to play games, share ideas and enjoy the events together. He further said that, discipline is a must for every student in the college to become responsible, successful and a good citizen to make better Nagaland and better India as the future lies in the hands of young people. He encouraged students and faculty members to participate actively in such college events for a balanced personal development.
The sports week will continue till Nov. 29 where various indoor and outdoor games will be played.
