Dimapur, June 27 (EMN): Bharatiya Sanskriti Parishad (BSP), Guwahati, conducted a free medical camp and awareness programme in Moayimti village under Mokokchung district on June 25 wherein more than 300 patients including children and old age persons of the village were benefitted.
Speaking on the occasion, chairman of the Moayimti Village Council (MVC) said that such medical camp was organised for the first time in the area.
Medical team headed by senior professors, doctors and nurses of Sanjivani Hospital, Jorhat, along with technical staff screened the patients for various ailments. Medicines and first aid were also distributed among the villagers free of cost by Sanjivani Hospital, Jorhat (Assam).
BSP general secretary Bikash Borah; programme co-ordinator Asangla; and assistant co-ordinator Imran Hussain disclosed that the medical camp was organised for the first time for the benefit of the villagers.
Meanwhile, the village chairman and head man of Moayimti village have acknowledged yeoman service rendered by medical staff of Sanjivani Hospital Jorhat and BSP organisation. They have also thanked Limatoshi for organising the medical team.
