LBES revival prog concludes

Congregation hold up lighted candles at the concluding service of the three-day revival programme at Wokha town on April 23.

Dimapur, April 24 (EMN): A three-day revival programme of the Lotha Baptist Ekhumkho Sanrhyutsu (Lotha Baptist Churches Association) for its 138 member churches on the theme “Revive us, O Lord,” concluded at Wokha town public ground on April 23.
The revival programme was jointly sponsored by the Wokha Town Baptist Church, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, and Dimapur Lotha Baptist Church. The dedication of the meeting hall and unveiling of the banner at public ground, Wokha town, was done by Rev. NT Murry.
The speakers of the revival programme were Rev. Mhathung Yanthan, Pastor of KLBC, Rev. John Ovung, Pastor of Senjum (SBC), Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo, Principal of Golden Crown College, Dimapur, Rev. LK Tsanglao, Missionary to Nepal, and Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary, LBES.
A seminar on “Clean Election” was conducted, wherein resource persons Rev. Zanao Mozhui, Pastor of DLBC, and Rev. Chumben Kyon, Associate Pastor of DLBC gave presentation on Biblical and social perspectives respectively.
During the three-day programme, special songs were presented by the Wokha Town Baptist Church, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, and staff of LBES. LBES also took a pledge administered by Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary, LBES, to advocate clean elections with the determination to choose leaders who would serve and lead the people with righteousness.
At the closing of the revival programme, Rev. C Yanthan, Pastor of Lotha Baptist Church, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur, led the candlelight service with the participation of more than fourteen thousand. The candles were lit one by one to signify spreading a message from one person to another.
LBES initiated the revival programme basing on the need to draw closer to God and His word, to lead a life of holiness, love, truthfulness and to revive the Lotha people.
