Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): The 7th Saptiqa Area Sports Association (SASA) tournament concluded with Amrito Achumi, president, Dimapur District Motor Parts Dealers Association as the guest of honour on Jan. 22.
Usütomi Sports Association (USA) A became the champion for the consecutive time, while Shena Old Sports Association (SOSA) and USA B team emerged as the second and third, a press release informed.
Kivi Chophy of USA B was awarded as the best player and Nito Achumi of Shena New Sports Association (SNSA) emerged as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
Achumi, in his address, congratulated SASA for the successful event and encouraged the players to be bold and smart enough to represent the state and even the nation.
“The skills and talent possessed by our people is remarkable, therefore a little more hard work and discipline will take us farther”, he added.
SASA president thanked all the frontal organisations of Usütomi village for being a grand host.
