DIMAPUR — With an aim to bridge the gap between the public and security forces, the 78 battalion CRPF organised a combined civic action programme for Peducha and Kiruphema villages on Tuesday at Peducha local ground.
An update from 78 CRPF stated that it had constructed a community kitchen for Peducha village and also provided various kitchen/ cooking utensils for Kiruphema village following their requirements projected by the village councils. It added that the community kitchen and cooking utensils were provided for use by the community during various cultural, religious and social programmes.
The community kitchen and various kitchen/ cooking utensils were formally handed over to the respective village councils by the chief guest, Manish Kumar Sachar, DIG (Ops) CRPF, Kohima, in the presence of WR Josuah, commandant of 78 bn CRPF, officers and men of 78 bn CRPF, village council members, eminent personalities and villagers.
Meanwhile, Vielie Dokha, chairman of Peducha village council, expressed gratitude to 78 CPF for making the much needed community kitchen for his village. Similarly, Hekho Hesielie, chairman of Kiruphema village council, also expressed gratitude for providing the utensils.
