Kohima, Jan. 30 (EMN): The much anticipated 63rd Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) meet will commence in Kohima from Feb. 1 to the 5th.
Athletics, football, volleyball and sepaktakraw will be held at IG Stadium, while badminton and table tennis will be played at State Indoor Stadium, Kohima.
Naga-style wrestling (U-16 and senior category) will also be conducted at Khuochiezie.
It was informed that over 500 sportspersons from 29 villages of northern Angami region — NASA – A, NASA – B, NASA – C and NASA – D – will be competing for a total of 114 medals (44 gold, 44 silver and 26 bronze) along with cash prizes.
Abu Metha, advisor to chief minister of Nagaland and vice president of Athletics Federation of India will be the guest of honour, MLA Khriehu Liezietsu will be the patron and Zeneituo Yano, president of Northern Angami Public Organisation (NAPO) will be the special guest during the sports meet.
