The 5th Nagaland Open Pcheda Competition-cum- 33rd annual day of Tragopan Club, Viswema took place here today at Phuzwii.
Zayieho Kin emerged the champion title and pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
Keneizoto Neikha, Rukuhokho Kennao and Noketozo Pusa stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th stood position and pocketed Rs. 10,000, Rs. 7,000 and Rs. 4,000 respectively.
Speaking on the occasion as the event patron, Tebiil Neikha, registrar, Soil & Water Conservation Nagaland expressed happiness to Tragopan Club for popularizing and taking Pcheda as competition event to keep alive the good traditional practices of the forefathers
He stressed on the need to promote this game as one of the popular games in Nagaland.
The inaugural function was chaired by Tragopan Club president Vithel Pusa while Tragopan Club advisor Keneikriil Noswe delivered welcome address.Introduction of the game was given by field marshal Michael Neikha.
Later, R.Khel GB Vikechiiho Noswe exhorted the gathering at the 33rd annual day of the club.
The function was chaired by Tragopan Club vice president (Technical) Lodiho Rhiitso. General secretary report was given by Neikhol Sothu. Prize distribution was led by secretary games & sports Akho Pusa while vote of thanks was proposed by Tragopan Club treasurer Visiito Kweho.
