5868 houses in Nagaland constructed under PMAYG

DIMAPUR: A total of 5,868 houses amounting to INR 95.3482 crore have been constructed under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana Gramin (PMAYG) in Nagaland during the period from May 15, 2015 to March 23, 2023. PMAYG is a social welfare programme launched by the government of India to provide housing for the rural poor in India,

An update from the Chief Minister’s dashboard stated a total of 29,233 beneficiaries have registered, wherein 27,525 houses geotagged. It stated that 5,868 houses out of the total 22,987 have been constructed under the scheme.

As per the data, Mon district has the highest number of houses registered and geotagged which stands at 9,535. It stated that 1,427 out of the total 6,589 houses have been completed at the cost of INR 21.7842 crore.

Kohima district recorded the lowest whereby 630 beneficiaries were registered, 629 houses geotaggged and sanctioned and 160 houses completed at the amount of INR 2.6806 crore, as on March 23, 2023.

District-wise data showed that out of the 1,323 houses sanctioned in Dimapur, 489 houses have been completed, while 238 houses were completed out of out of 909 houses sanctioned in Mokokhcung, 88 houses completed out of 1,006 sanctioned  in Phek, 1,802 houses completed out of  5,202 sanctioned in Tuensang, 235 houses completed out of 1,058 sanctioned in Wokha, 179 houses completed out of 1,144 sanctioned in Zunheboto, 290 houses completed out of 1,859 sanctioned in Peren, 326 houses completed out of 2,003 sanctioned in Kiphire and 634 houses completed out of 1,265 sanctioned in Longleng district.
