Kohima, June 13 (EMN): Passengers of Shramik special train, which began its journey on June 11 from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and created history for travelling the longest train route of 4322 kilometre, reached Dimapur on Saturday.
The returnees were stranded in the Southern part of the country including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after the outbreak of Covid-19.
At around 3 pm on Saturday, the returnees from Kohima district travelled additional 83 km from Dimapur, covering a total distance of 4405 km, to reach the state capital. On their arrival, the returnees were taken to quarantines centres.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa informed Eastern Mirror that a total of 46 returnees from Kohima district have reached the state capital.
She informed that 25 female were placed at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS), while 21 male at Meriema quarantine centre for institutional quarantine.
