3rd Inter-Ward Volleyball Tourney of Medziphema kicks off

The 3rd Inter-Ward Volleyball Tournament of Medziphema Town was officially declared open by Zhaleo Rio, MLA, 5 Ghaspani II A/C, in a grand function at Local Ground, Medziphema Town today.
In his speech, Rio urged the youths to take the tournament as a privilege for the young to set a foundation for the future in the right direction. He also stressed that there are disguised elements in different versions ready to mislead people but that “we should be united as one and as the tournament theme signify, ‘Excel in Unity’”, he concluded.
Altogether, 11 teams are in the fray to vie for the coveted trophy which will culminate in the afternoon tomorrow. mong the dignitaries present today included Zasivi Meyase, PS to Z.Rio; Miatho-u Krose, President, NCP Nagaland, who sponsored the 1st prize; Sede Meyase, sponsor of the 2nd prize and Noketho Kikhi, sponsor of individual prize, besides other donors and a hosts of well wishers.
