3rd Altrura Open Football Tournament begins

The 3rd Altrura Open football tournament, under the aegis of Altrura Society kicked started on Tuesday, the 23rd June 2015 on the theme, ”Goal for Peace” at Chumukedima Town Local Ground with Mr Huzo Meru, Director of Operations, North-East Christian University(NECU) Nagaland/Ex-Principal Shalom Bible Seminary as the Special Guest in the Opening Ceremony.
In his inaugural speech he acknowledge the Altrura Society for working with a sense of difference that its whole purpose is to serve and not to be served, he said the ambulance service of the Altrura Society to the poor and needy and the Yearly football tournament for the youth capacity building is commendable and a positive contribution to our society. He also stresses on the importance and benefit of sports and Football as it foster and promote discipline, mental health social growth and harmony and economic development.He also encourage and praise the noteworthy initiative of Altrura Society in doing away with VIP Culture by introducing “Special Guest” in place of “Chief Guest” with the motive of non-monetary benefit will go a long way in setting a new trend to other societies and Organisation.
Earlier the program was compere by Mr.Mhasileto Medoze, Advisor Altrura Society (AuS) Welcome Address by. Mr.Neivikho Savi Information & Publicity Secy AuS, Ps.Khrielie, Pastor Chumukedima Town CRC pronounced the invocation, while Special no. was presented by Miss Ruokuosanuo Metha, Runners up Kids for fame Nagaland.
Altogether 28 teams from different parts of Nagaland are participating in these tournament, The opening Match was played between Windfield FC vs Amatuer Sporting.
