As part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebration, Indian army organised a military equipment and pipe band display for NCC cadets from various schools and colleges in Dimapur as well as for the youth and families at Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur, on Saturday. The display was organised by Spear Corps and was attended by approximately 200 NCC cadets.

At the event, Indian army showcased military equipment and pipe band display besides performance by NCC cadets from various schools and colleges in Dimapur. The event, organised by Spear Corps, was attended by approximately 200 NCC cadets from various schools and colleges in Dimapur.

Besides display of modern weaponry and equipment and pipe band, an interactive session was conducted with the visitors wherein they were given an exposure on capabilities of the Indian army. The visiting NCC cadets also interacted with officers and all other ranks about avenues for joining the army.

The martial tunes played by the military band mesmerised the visitors and instilled fervour for the nation in the young minds.

The inquisitiveness and the eagerness in the young populace about the Indian army could be gauged by the high spirits, enthusiasm and curiosity that was seen amongst the youth while participating in the event.
