26 teams to participate in the three-day event

KOHIMA, OCTOBER 28
2nd Kohima district volleyball tournament for men and women under the aegis of Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) with the theme “Transcending through sports” will begin from October 29 to 31 at Kohima Local Ground.
Altogether, 26 teams will participate in the three-day tournament including 17 men and nine women teams.
The inaugural programme will commence at 10 am with Nizheto Awomi, Assistant Director, Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland as the chief guest.The opening match in men’s pool will be played between Soyim Club Bayavü Hill and Naga Bazar Youth Organization, while the first match in women’s pool will be played between Sendenyu Youth Organization and Elixir United Kezoma.
Meanwhile, the organizers have informed that it will be compulsory for all participating teams to attend the inaugural programme at 10 am on October 29.
MEN’S POOL
GROUP A: Soyim Club Bayavü Hill, Naga Bazar Youth Organization, Nerhema Sports Association, Khamima Youth Society Kigwema and Kirha Students Union Viswema.
GROUP B: Phesama Youth Organization, Kirupehma Youth Organization, BKK Kezo Town and Rhododendron Sporting Club Khonoma.
GROUP C: Rising Boys Jotsoma, Mima Youth Organization, St. Josephs College Jakhama and Vanquishers Club Kiruphe Peducha.
GROUP D: Yhome Club Kruliezou, Khonoma Youth Organization and United Brothers Kigwema and Phetsukiku Club Khonoma.
WOMEN’S POOL
GROUP A: Sendenyu Youth Organization, Elixir United Kezoma, BKK Kezo Town, Zhadi Feathers and Stephen Club Rüsoma.
GROUP B: Khonoma Youth Organization, St. Josephs College Jakhama, Naga Bazar Youth Organization and BKK Tsiesema.
