2nd Entrepreneurship Development Centre launched at Sao Chang College Tuensang
Dimapur, Nov. 4 (EMN): The Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, flagged off the second phase of Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Sao Chang College, Tuensang, on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC encouraged students to come forward, be creative, seize opportunity and learn about business concept through the entrepreneurship development programme, said an update from Educentre School of Business.
V. Vikheto Yeptho from the department of Industries and Commerce stated that entrepreneurship development centres will help create startup ecosystem among aspiring entrepreneurs as well as made aware of various government schemes and support such as PMEGP and PMFME meant for the entrepreneurs.
Sharing her journey, proprietor of Benlin Bakery in Tuensang, Dorethy Chang said commitment, discipline and focus are required to steadily climb the ladder. There are lots of earning opportunities everywhere but usually people overlook such prospects and dream too big, hoping for the unreachable with limited experience, she added.
During the event, Atsung Sangtam, Head Co-ordinator for Entrepreneurship Development Centre, briefed the gathering about the benefits they could draw from the programme- how it will help students know more about entrepreneurship, start, build and scale business idea.
Sharing the road map of the entrepreneurship programme, he said it can produce job creators and encouraged the participants to become role models for the society.
Earlier Principal of Sao Chang College (SCC) Tuensang, Dr. VitsosieVupru delivered the welcome address and Akyuba Sangtam, Assistant Professor of the same college, delivered the vote of thanks.
EDC in colleges is an initiative of Startup Nagaland, implemented by EduCentre School of Business and supported by Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN).
