2nd Champions T20 Cricket tournament: Diphupar CC, Flying Rabbits BCC, Dhansiri CC register win

Dimapur, Feb. 16 (EMN): Diphupar CC, Flying Rabbits BCC and Dhansiri CC won their respective matches at the ongoing 2nd Champions T20 Cricket tournament, organised by Nagamese Baptist Fellowship, Chumoukedima at Chumoukedima local ground on Wednesday.

In the first match, Diphupar CC knocked Jackals United by three wickets. Put to bat, Jackals United set a target of 183 runs, which was achieved by Diphupar CC in 18 overs, an update informed.

Tutu of Diphupar CC was awarded the man of the match for scoring 59 runs.

Defending champion Flying Rabbits BCC won against Kachara XI by a mere three runs in the second match.

Kachara XI won the toss, elected to ball first and restricted the defending champions, Flying Rabbits at 107 runs. However, Kachara XI managed to score only 104 runs.

Sardili Bey was awarded the man of the match for scoring 28 runs taking three crucial wickets.

Playing the last match of the day, Dhansiri CC defeated Bigshots by 18 runs. Taking the bat first, Dhansiri CC set a target of 227 runs but Bigshots CC was bundled out at 208 runs.

Guttu of Dhansiri CC was awarded the man of the match for scoring 70 runs.

On Feb. 17 (Thursday), Woods XI (B) take on Royal CC at 8 am, Kohima Hornbills play against Scarlet Dominators at 11 am and LSU Seithekema CC will play against Walford CC in the last match of the day at 2pm.
