20 Nagaland taekwondo players competing in national championship

Dimapur, July 1 (EMN): A total of 20 taekwondo players representing Nagaland are participating in the Open India Kukkiwon Dispatched Master Championship, organised by Titabor Dojang Taekwondo Academy at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium Jorhat, Assam from July 1 to the 3rd.

The team is led by Visabiu Peseyie, State Taekwondo Coach and Khrieto as manager, an update informed.

Coach Peseyie said the team from Sports Academy, IG Stadium, Kohima are participating in Kyorugi (sparring) competition and that the championship brings together promising athletes from all over the country with a platform to showcase their talent. He expressed hope that his students can perform at par along with the participating teams from different states.

On Friday, the first round matches were underway in the categories of Kyorugi, poomsae and gyeokpa.
