Amidst the crisis haunting the NPF, the DAN-III Coordination Committee met at the residence of the coalition chairman Dr. Shurhozelie in Kohima on Thursday and wanted an immediate end to the factional battle within the NPF.
Besides the DAN chairman, KG Kenye, secretary general, NPF, M. Chuba Ao, president, BJP, K. James Vizo, general secretary and spokesman, BJP, Mhonjan Lotha, president, JD(U), K Yimso, member JD(U) and Er. TL Semdok, acting president, NCP attended the coordination meeting.
Taking into account the serious ramifications of the internal crisis in the NPF that will take a heavy toll on the developmental priorities for the state, the DAN partners urged for immediate settlement of the intra-party crisis. The coordination committee noted that the continuance and intensification of the crisis in the NPF will not only bring deleterious consequences on the NPF, but will spell doom on the full tenure of the current Assembly thereby inviting the avoidable President’s rule which Nagas detest. The Coordination Committee therefore wanted an immediate end to the factional battle within the NPF, KG Kenye, secretary, DAN Coordination Committee, said in a release today.
