11th LFC: Glory Hunters, Friends Club Wokha Village register win

Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): Glory Hunters, NRSA and Friends Club Wokha Village on Thursday defeated their respective opponents at the ongoing 11th Lotha Football Championship (LFC), organised by Wokha District Football Association.

In the first match, Glory Hunters beat XI Brothers 4-1, an update informed.

Friends Club Wokha Village (FCWV) took on Englan Range FC, in the third match. Lironthung, the top scorer of the tournament drew first blood in the 13th minute to give FCWV a lead but Suben of Englan Range FC also equalised the score in the 13th minute

A minute later, Rhonbemo of Englan Range FC scored in the 14th minute to give Englan Range FC a lead by 2-1.

Rashamo, the team captain of FCWV, and Awanbo scored in the 39th and 65th minute to seal the victory for FCWV.

The fourth match of the day between Tsumang FC and Tsumang Young Stars ended in a 2-2 draw.

Akito Swu, UBSI, SP office (Wokha) was the match patron of the day, it informed.

On Feb. 4 (Friday), Englan Range FC will take on Glory Hunters in the first match, while Longsa Sports Association will play against Gallants FC Kohima and Unite Sporting Club will take on Titans XI in the last match.
