IMPHAL, August 10: A 7-year-old girl was reportedly hurt in one of the two bomb explosions in Manipur today. The first explosion took place near Maphou bazaar BSF post under Lamlai police station at around 9 a.m. where one girl Tingneichin Singsit got injured, police sources said.
The second bomb explosion which is also believed to be Improvised Explosive Device (IED) occurred along the busy Imphal-Moreh route at Langthabal Kunja junction under Singjamei Police Station around 1 p.m. Police rushed to the spot to oversee the situation. There was no report of human casualty, sources added. In the run up to the Independence Day observation, the trouble-torn Manipur had witnessed as many as around eight bomb explosions wherein as many as three security men including two BSF personnel and one CRPF besides two minor girls sustained injury. But they are said to be out of danger.
