Dimapur, May 10 (EMN): The District Planning and Development boards (DPDB) of Zunheboto and Tuensang district held their meetings for the month of May on the 8th and 10th respectively. .Zunheboto: The DPDB of Zunheboto conducted its meeting for May on the 8th .The meeting was presided over by advisor to Tourism, Art and culture Khehovi, it was informed.During the meeting, the Chairman reminded the officers with the People’s Democratic Alliance government’s vision to bring new changes in the state through good development. He added that ‘no work no pay policy’ has been implementing by the Government. He warned that, surprise checking of attendance would be exercised off and on. He directed that from the next DPDB meet onward, only Head of Departments should attend the meeting and no representatives would be accepted.
The press release informed that, the meeting has discussed on the upgrade of the government high school to higher secondary at Suruhuto, and Akuluto and resolved to forward the matter to higher authority for necessary action. Proposal for registration of ‘aina vision society’ has been approved and resolved to forward it to the higher authority for necessary action. Various other departmental officers have been requested to submit report based on the deliberations.
For the creation of sub-divisional officer’s soil office at Atoizu’s additional deputy commissioner headquarter, the district soil conservation officer of Zunheboto has been requested to furnish the report. The district sports officer has been directed to submit detail report on the proposal for renovation of toilets and construction of retaining wall at the badminton stadium.
The Social Welfare department, and Education department have been requested to submit report on ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme in the next meeting.Some of the discussed meeting minutes required for the board chairman’s decision. These included- proposal for financial assistance for construction of a meeting hall for ZSTH at the deputy commissioner’s hill in Zunheboto, and construction of drainage at South Point East.All departments have been requested to submit their respective vision for the district’s Agri and Allied department. It was further informed that, the department in concern have been directed to constitute a committee for ‘vision 2025’ latest by July. Other discussions include construction of retaining walls, and side drain between AOC Junction via Nagaland State Transportation road at Zunheboto town.
Tuensang: The DPDB of Tuensang conducted its meeting on May 10 at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall under the chairmanship of its vice chairman L Jamithung Lotha.The chairman appreciated the district administration, police, and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation for timely and safely release of abducted driver and handyman.
The departments of Irrigation and Flood Control and Forest presented the departmental activities. The Power department has been entrusted to present their presentation in the next meeting. The chairman also informed that the felicitation programme in honour of the elected members of Tuensang district will be differed to May 15.
