Zoological Park, Rangapahar proves to be crowd puller on Jan 1, 2014

A record number of visitors visited the Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar on January 1, 2014. On New Year’s day, visitors both young and old, thronged Nagaland Zoological Park, Rangapahar to spend the day in the zoo. The crowds included groups of young people, families with children and grand parents. There was a festive atmosphere in the park. People were seen crowding almost all the enclosure areas enjoying the sight of the wildlife. Many people came to the park with lunch packs and were seen resting under the shades and enjoying their lunch. The staff of the park along with security personnels were on their toes throughout the day for the safety of the visitors. At the end of the day it was estimated that about 3000 people visitors visited the Park on new year.
It was a lovely sight to see people of all ages and races visiting the park. A good way to start a new year.
Meanwhile the Park Director, Tongpangzemba Ao, has conveyed his new year wishes and thanked all well wishers for supporting the management during the past year and further urged everyone to continue the good works during the current year. He also sought constructive support from everyone for development of the Park.
