Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Advisor of Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, called upon the Tenyimi community to forge brotherhood ties and spread love and positive attitude not only among the 11 tribes but also to the people around them in Dimapur and the Nagas in general.

Speaking at the unveiling of foundation stone for a new office building of the Tenyimi Union Dimapur (TUD) programme at its complex in Dimapur on December 16, Zhaleo noted that Tenyimi community has come a long way since inception of the union 46 years ago and advised the gathering to forge brotherhood ties through love and unity, stated the media secretary of NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II AC, Thejangukho Yalietsu, in a press release.

“It is the time to spread love and positive attitude thereby sharing it not only among the 11 tribes but to the people around us in Dimapur and the Nagas in general”, he said and urged everyone to work for the uplift and prosperity of Naga people.

Lamenting that Nagas have the tendency to create negative vibes without rhyme or reason, he opined that “we should inculcate the good habits or practices of other tribes and people groups which will impact the society positively.” Zhaleo also assured to lend his helping hand towards the construction of the new office building and urged all Tenyimi people to contribute their might as responsible members.

While calling upon the people to support leaders, Zhaleo added that understanding, cooperation and unity amongst the people is indispensable for a better tomorrow. He further urged the people to introspect, consider all challenges ahead and strive together “as we move into the new year.”

The function was chaired by TUD president Vekhosayi Nyekha, while the associate pastor of TBC Dimapur Zakie Terhüja said the invocation and the building committee report was tabled by Tsathvü C Thevüry, convenor of the building committee.

Rothihü Tetseo, Dimapur commissioner of police, and Razouvotuo Chatsu, APO president, exhorted the gathering while Neivi, TWUD president, delivered the vote of thanks and Rev. Peuhau N Hau, pastor of Hindi Baptist Church, Dimapur, pronounced the benediction.
